Did you ever think about who helps bring some of Nashville's biggest sporting events to life?

Jay Grider joined the Nashville Sports Council in 1997 and is the COO/Senior Vice President of Events & Operations. He oversees the events, development, and marketing/communications departments for both the Nashville Sports Council and TransPerfect Music City Bowl. Jay and his team have assisted with parts of numerous large-scale events in the city including the 2014 NCAA Women's Final Four, 2016 NHL All-Star Game, the 2019 NFL Draft, and the 2021 Music City Grand Prix, often partnering with the NCVC. Upcoming events include 2022 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championship, 2022 SEC Women's Basketball Championship, and the annual St. Jude Rock N' Roll Running Series Nashville among others.

Jay will go behind the scenes of some of Nashville's biggest sporting events giving us a glimpse at some of the history, the key elements you need to ensure the events run successfully, and some of his personal stories from over the years.
